Privacy

How IntervU handles your voice, transcripts and documents.

What is stored, and where

Your account (name, email and password) is managed by Supabase, our database provider. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes by Supabase.

Your saved resume text, interview settings, transcripts and reports are stored in IntervU's Supabase database so you can use them on any device. Database rules ensure each account can read only its own interviews.

A copy is also kept in your browser so pages load quickly and nothing is lost if your connection drops. It is removed when you log out.

What is sent to other services

During an interview, your microphone audio is streamed to Vapi, which runs the call using speech-recognition, language-model and voice providers (by default Deepgram, OpenAI and ElevenLabs). Your interview settings, and your resume or job description if you add them, are included in the interviewer's instructions.

When you upload a document, the file is sent to IntervU's server only to extract its text. It's processed in memory and not saved.

When you generate a report or a question plan, the transcript or documents are sent to the configured AI provider to produce it. IntervU's server doesn't store them or write them to logs.

These providers handle data under their own terms. Check the site operator's configuration if you need details of retention by those providers.

Recordings

IntervU does not request or store audio recordings of your interviews. Only the text transcript is kept, in your account.

Your controls

Delete any single interview from its report page. Delete all interviews, download your data, or delete your account from Settings; deleting your account removes your interviews from the database too.

You can deny microphone access at any time from your browser's site settings; interviews can't run without it.

Accuracy

Questions and feedback are generated by AI and can be wrong. Information about current affairs, organisations and recruitment rules may be out of date. Always check official notifications.
